Terms and Conditions

Vermont Land Link (VLL) is managed by the Intervale Center (IC), a nonprofit, mission-driven organization devoted to strengthening community food systems that sustain farms, land and people. Neither VLL nor the IC is involved in real estate listings, brokerage, or sales activities. Neither VLL nor the IC receives any real estate commissions before, during, or after any transactions directly related to this site.

Ultimately, neither Vermont Land Link nor the Intervale Center is responsible for the accuracy of the information posted by others on VLL, including the content and representations of posted land listings or farm seeker profiles. We recommend that all users of VLL conduct appropriate due diligence to confirm an appropriate fit with a landowner or farm seeker. Users are encouraged to do any screening necessary to confirm the information presented and to feel comfortable with a landowner or farm seeker. This might include asking for external references, scheduling a video or phone call, conducting a site visit, online research, and any other methods.

Vermont Land Link and the Intervale Center reserve the right to remove any user, land listing, or farm seeker profile at any time.

VLL acknowledges that differences in opinions and conflicts are normal in interpersonal interactions and uncomfortable situations may arise. We ask that you work to address these differences in a respectful and civil manner before contacting VLL.  If you feel that another website user has violated these terms of use and are uncomfortable addressing the issue directly with that user, or have been unsuccessful in resolving the issue, you may report the issue by contacting VLL at [email protected]. Violations to the terms of use, such as hate speech, sexual, racial, or ethnic slurs, discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior of any kind, will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the website and/or other restrictions on a user’s access to associated services.

VLL will review each report of violation and will use our discretion to appropriately address the situation. VLL has the right to discontinue a user's access to the site at any time, and may follow up with additional actions that include, but are not limited to:

  1. Notify a user of reported misconduct,
