Quality of land
Our 12.5 acre homestead is situated on a west-facing slope with a few wet spots in some areas that dry out in the spring, but with 650 ft elevation there's no flooding issues. Our land is managed using permaculture principles and natural methods, completely organic, though not certified. We’ve never used synthetic chemicals or pesticides. The soil has been nurtured through years of no-till practices, heavy mulching, composting, and cover cropping to build fertility and support microbial life. We grow a diverse range of crops including a no-till medicinal herb garden, a Three Sisters garden, a food forest, berry patches, and a small vineyard. There's also a hoop house and room for a few more.

Farmer housing details
There’s space here for someone to bring their own housing—like a self-sustaining tiny home or yurt. Currently, we rent out our walkout basement to travel nurses, but it could be available down the line for the right person.

Drilled well, Pond
Water source details
There's a drilled well on the property with a high flow rate that we use to water all of our gardens. We also have a manual Simple pump attached in case of a power outage. Worst case scenario, we plan to set up our IBC totes and also utilize our small pond.

Description of farm infrastructure
We currently have one hoop house set up, but there's room for more. We have a small shed down by the lower gardens to store tools as well as an herb drying set up in the garage attic.
