Quality of land
Vergennes clay that has been regenerating itself little by little with the help of not haying and using spent mulch hay as additional coverage. I've had good luck adding organic matter/inputs to a small garden parcel over the last few years and can grow most crops successfully. I also have planted roughly 100 fruit and nut trees so there is quite a bit of tree crops already established. This would be perfect for grazing animals as most Vermonters know - which is why Addison county is ideal for animals. Farming with minimal to no-plastics or tillage and regenerating the land for wildlife, human and plant ecology as well as food sovereignty work are all priorities and values we hope you share!

Farmer housing details
There is 1-2 bedrooms available in the main house with a private full bathroom. Renting one bedroom for $1,100 and the slightly larger one for $1,300 or both for $2,400. Also have a new camper for $500/month. Willing to negotiate on either/both for current farmers who can bring value (soil fertility, crops, skills, etc.) to the community.
You will share the house with Suzanne and Saday - full-time residents and partners in life and work. As Latinx creatives, they are passionate about sustainable fashion and fitness, and are devoted to cultivating spiritually rooted communities where wellness, freedom, and true belonging flourish in harmony. I live in the converted barn across the driveway.

Type of water source
Town/municipal water
Water source details
Tri-town water. We will eventually catch rainwater and dig ponds for better/more affordable water sources.
Farm infrastructure
Description of farm infrastructure
There is a large barn with two additional living spaces (one complete that I live in and one in progress) with shop and potential event space. Plans to build additional animal barn and carport/shed are currently being discussed. There is plenty of solar, power and move-in ready infrastructure for both ideal living (sauna and hot tub too) and farm enterprises.

Tenure Arrangement
Collaborative model
Tenure arrangement details
I am open to ideas and action-oriented people who value connection, community and integrity. I have experience with collaborative models (employee ownership. co-ops, bartering, equity and solidarity work, etc.) and also know that most people want to simply plug and play. I posted on here a couple years ago with more openness and got lots of responses but very few people who followed up after I responded so I'm trying a different tact by offering housing and more of a set model that's move-in ready. Still I remain open to any/all conversations especially if you're good at following up and through and holding things in a good way.
