Description of farming experience

I have five years of farming experience, primarily in vegetable operations across various farms. I'm interested in pasture management and am working towards become a certified technical service provider focused on regenerative grazing. This winter I will also be taking UVM's Master Gardener program.

I hope to find a farm in need of some helping hands, in exchange for knowledge sharing and possible housing. My goal is to learn from others operating an existing farm as to gain experience and clearer define our future goals as farmers. I am interested in work-trade opportunities, as well as pursuing some of my own interests, including maple production, market gardening, and raising livestock (for wool production, meat, soil health).

I am still in the early stages of farm planning. I am seeking hands-on experience and mentorship to help me narrow down my goals for a future farm. I hope to figure out how my interests can fit together into a cohesive farm plan, but right now it's looking like some form of homestead-market garden setup. My long-term goal is a regenerative farm with livestock (sheep, chickens), gardens (veggies and dye), a small orchard (fruit, nuts, berries), and a sugarbush. It's important to me that I spend time learning from others so that I can implement these plans in a way that is best for our land, community, and local food system.
