Farm business ownership
Description of farming experience
Previously owned a successful small, pasture-based dairy bottling onsite and direct marketing for 9 years, on a leased farm. Also owned a successful targeted grazing business doing fuel-load reduction for private land owners, HOA's and government entities with a flock of 300-700 sheep. Maintain a flock for grassfed lamb currently.
Currently managing a 1200 acre grassfed dairy, overseeing 12+ employees, and 900+ cows in milk, plus heifers.
Experienced raising and harvesting broilers and pigs as well.

Tenure arrangement description
I am open to leasing a property that will be for sale in the future. I am open to working with a farmer towards transitioning into ownership of a property. I am open to purchasing a smaller property that has land for lease around it.

Planned farm enterprises: Others
Dairy, Hay
Farm enterprises description
I need enough land to graze 400 ewe/lamb pairs and 10 milk cows. I will raise lamb for the growing ethnic market and a smaller subset of the crop can go to high-end restaurants. Milk will be bottled on site and sold locally or lightly processed to make a value added product depending on the location of the farm.
