Description of farming experience

Ari and Matt grew up gardening in Silicon Valley and the Buffalo NY area respectively. Ari fell in love with agriculture at the Middlebury College Organic Farm (now the Knoll) and was fortunate to spend a summer there growing food and visiting local farms. She has since worked on a variety of small farms and homesteads and ranches. Make Do Farm launched on leased land in October 2024.

Farm enterprises description

Farm enterprise will be influenced by the land and the market, but our dream is to manage a flock of sheep for meat, fiber and milk. We love sheeps milk yogurt! We'd like to have a farm store and host on-farm dinners. We love the interplay of complementary systems and how multiple species can work together to rebuild the soil.
