Description of farming experience

We have over 15+ years of hands-on experience caring for goats, chickens, cows, horses, and vegetable gardens. I am also proficient in home grown food preservation and hands on cattle experience operations when I owned a small herd of 20 grass fed angus.

Tenure arrangement description

Our goal is to find farmland throughout Addison County where I can build a long-term small farm business focused on flowers, vegetables, & livestock.

We are especially interested in creating a sustainable farm business that could eventually include goats for natural land and brush management services in addition to produce & flower sales.

Our preferred land tenure arrangement would be owner financing, it would help me gradually transition from the traditional business world into full-time farming. However, I am also open to collaborative farming models, partnerships, lease-to-own opportunities, or other creative arrangements that allow both parties to build a mutually beneficial relationship.

Farm enterprises description

Our planned farm enterprises include growing and selling flowers, seasonal vegetables, jams, jellies, pickled goods, and other locally produced products through a small roadside farm stand. I am also interested in greenhouse production to extend the growing season and provide fresh produce year-round during Vermont winters.

We want to focus on building a small, community-focused farm business centered around locally grown flowers, vegetables, homemade goods, and sustainable livestock practices. With over 10 years of gardening and animal care experience, including raising beef cattle for market, my goal is to create a year-round farm operation using greenhouse production and roadside sales. Long term, I hope to expand into goat-based land management services while building a sustainable lifestyle rooted in local agriculture and stewardship of the land.
