Description of farming experience

Growing up, I spent much of my time on my best friend’s dairy farm, where I learned responsibility, hard work, and a love for caring for animals and the land. Daily chores taught me dedication and the value of farm life. About six years ago, we got horses, and since then I have been their primary caretaker. I spend time with them every day feeding, grooming, cleaning, and making sure they are healthy and safe. I truly love caring for the horses and tending to the land around them. It brings me peace, purpose, and a strong connection to the lifestyle I grew up loving. I’m looking forward to finding a quite place where I can trail ride and spend time enjoying my horses.

My land tenure goals are centered around long-term stewardship, responsible land management, and building a sustainable relationship that benefits both the landowner and my horses. I am interested in opportunities that allow me to continue caring for my horses while maintaining and improving pasture health, fencing, and overall land condition.

My preferred arrangement would be a contract grazing agreement, as I enjoy the daily hands-on care of horses and pasture management while working collaboratively with landowners. We’re a small family of just my husband and me now that our three children are grown and living on their own. We’re simply looking for a quiet place where we can keep and care for our personal horses, enjoy them daily, and continue a peaceful lifestyle together doing what we love.
