Seeking a farm to lease, then launch a diversified homestead to grow vegetables, raise chickens and forage wild food

Worked on a farm

Description of farming experience

I grew up on a farm in southern Vermont, where we grew vegetables and raised a variety of animals including sheep, goats, ducks, turkeys, Berkshire pigs, pheasant and quail. We also cared for a horse and a cow at one point. Our farm primarily focuses on raising quail. I launched our first farmer’s market booth, and eventually experienced being a vendor at 8 farmer’s markets throughout the state over the course of five years.

I enjoy growing vegetables, foraging for fiddleheads, ramps and mushrooms, and I also spent a season working on a couple of hemp farms in northern Vermont.
