Description of farming experience
After high school, I spent three months traveling and working for organic farms in Italy. In the last five years, I have worked at two farms— one was a larger scale operation with a farm store, csa, and frequent local collaborations and events. The farm I currently work at is extremely learning centered. We attend the local farmers market, sell to local business, and also have a small farm hut. We use organic and regenerative practices to build soil health and we grow primarily vegetable crops. We also grow different flower varieties, culinary and medicinal herbs and have a couple small orchards. Our chickens are free range and we have goats, ducks and geese.
