We have grown organic grain on the farm for seven years, certified organic by NOFA-VT and have had some good crops of rye and barley. The soils include Buckland fine sandy loam, Cabot silt loam, Peacham muck, Vershire-Glover complex, and Vershire-Lombard complex. All of the fields are flat or gently rolling. There are trails into the woods and that connect to adjoining Jasper Hill Farm for walking and cross-country skiing.
