Much of the description is above but I wanted to mention there are several fields on the property as a whole so there is potential for more than 15 acres. As I mentioned 2 of the fields are used now by a farmer from hinesburg growing corn and hay for his cows. If someone using the property needed additional acreage that could be possible.

This is 50+ piece of property we purchased 6 years ago. It was sitting unused for several years with the exception of about 10-15 acres being used by a farmer from Hinesburg to grow hay and corn to feed his dairy cows. We built a home on it and 2 years ago with the help of our son we grew a few acres of hemp. Our hemp was certified organic so there have been no chemicals used on our fields. We have decided to get out of growing hemp for many reasons. We would love to see the land used but we are retirement age and have no interest in becoming farmers. We wondered if there were and fruit or veggie farmers that might be interested in using our land. We have a brand new barn and greenhouse and we dug a pond to irrigate the hemp. The property is a large backward L shape. The vertical part of the L is a gentle west facing slope and the bottom horizontal part of the L is flat. The land gets plenty of sun and there is often a breeze. There are some wet spots, but generally speaking the soil is good.

There is one barn but we store our equipment in it so not much extra space. We are considering building extra storage space for equipment so it’s something we could discuss.
