The farm currently produces all the feed needed for the dairy herd and also has income from crop sales.

The organic milk buyer is currently holding farms to a quota or base, and this farm’s current contract is for 2.43 million per year

Conservation Easement:

The farm has a perpetual farmland conservation easement that allows all types of agricultural uses and new agricultural structures. The conservation easement includes the option to purchase at agricultural value. This option allows VLT to purchase the farm at its agricultural value should the buyer (or a future owner) attempt to sell the farm to a non-farmer. There is an existing farmhouse which may be renovated, replaced or enlarged. Additional farm labor housing may be constructed.
