Additional Information

Greenbacker, a Montpelier-based renewable energy company, is looking to pilot grazing sheep as an alternative, more environmentally-friendly and regenative approach to vegetation maintence at our solar sites across the state of Vermont. We're looking to connect with sheep farmers in close proximity to one or more of our solar projects who'd be interested in partnering with us to tend to the vegetation underneath and surrounding solar panels.

The solar sites range from 2.5 to 5 acres and are located in the following areas:

15 acres across 4 sites in Rutland County (Rutland/Proctor/Pittsford)

6.5 acres across 2 sites in Windsor County (South Royalton/North Springfield)

4 acres in Orange County (Williamstown)

3.5 acres in Franklin County (St. Albans)

All sites have fencing around the perimeter of the solar systems in place. Please reach out if interested.
