Please describe your past and/or present farming experience
My family (I am Seuss, 46, my wife Addie is 43, and our daughter Zephyr is 8) just sold our home in Philadelphia, PA and relocated to Vermont to settle down and homestead. While we have zero farming experience aside from small scale gardening, we do have a can do attitude and a basic plan in mind to lease or lease to own a property we can revitalize and further develop into our family farm. We are vegetarians and therefore won't be raising animals for consumption but we hope to have chickens and possibly ducks for eggs, goats for milk and fiber, and to support local bees for honey. We would also grow a variety of vegetables, fruits, berries, herbs and flowers. We've long been inspired seeing stories of others who have made similar life changes, now we are ready to make the move ourselves. We know this is a challenging journey but one we are eager to start.

General plan to develop a homestead/small farm with focus on vegetables, medicinal and edible herbs, grains for animals and brewing, wild beekeeping, chickens for eggs, eventually goats and sheep for dairy and fiber. Depending on resources available on site would also be interested in sugaring, agri-tourism, BnB etc
